Portland friends. A long list of local businesses are offering free food and stuff to people who lost SNAP.

What a beautiful gesture. I love these people and what they’re doing. Community looking out for each other. That’s how it’s done. We take care of each other.

If you’re gonna eat out, please show these businesses some love.

@markwyner Mark, I just heard yesterday that people who have been through trauma are diagnostically neurodivergent ...so I now identify with that neuro profile ..as well as the eater and meditator...mentally shaking hands with you across the miles .....also #Colorado

@markwyner I didn't see Nan's Taqueria (Happy Valley) on the list, but they are offering free meals as well as refrigerated & dry storage space to mutual aid organizations.

@markwyner sadly it's more of the '"community comes together to keep 200 orphans from being crushed in the orphan-crushing machine" and then never asks why an orphan-crushing machine exists or why you'd need to pay to prevent it from being used.' stuff that we have gotten used to 😞
Not saying it's not good, it's great that people help each other, but the whole system is so unbelievable rotten, that I wouldn't even bat an eye anymore if there was a literal orphan crushing machine....
