@emmadavidson and just to share the love, the latest update of the ABC Listen App has done more harm than good from a UX perspective. Even though it greets me by name it doesn't remember that it's ABC Canberra that I listen to so I have extra clicks to get to where I want to be. And when I'm there the text and phone links are no longer available. It also had a banner saying that ABC Canberra wasn't broadcasting. That was this morning while I was listening to Ross Solly. Maybe a teething problem and the lost functionality will all be back soon. 🤞
@smitjo I have that problem with ABC Listen sometimes, but I thought it was confused when I go back and forth between Canberra and Sydney a lot. Sounds like it might be a more basic location setting problem?
@emmadavidson it seems to be fixed now. Yesterday there were quite a few folk reporting the same issues. I suspect that it wasn't the app but the site the app lands on that was the source of the problem.
@emmadavidson the ticket machine at Woden interchange, which was finally installed a few weeks ago, nearly a year after the system went live, is kaput already
@emmadavidson my wife has the same problem now she is locked out of the app.
@Old_IT_geek did that to myself with MyGov earlier this year, immensely frustrating when there are forms to be done that are hard to do anywhere else
@emmadavidson online government systems are wonderful but there is an obligation to ensure they work 24/7 or have an alternative path. I have been responsible for building many of these systems.
Recently I tried the online tree removal form and it broke half way through but there was no alternative path to submit the request or lodge a fault report. After several complaints to Access Canberra a public servant filled in the form for me, but I was unable to see what was submitted. The application was rejected.
