Hey #Canberra / #Australia generally, are you hiring? I'm an application support guy with an interest in BA, and I want some new systems to learn in the new year. Any industry. My magic trick is learning your environment and your proprietary, home-grown apps at warp speed, then going to bat for my users in your sprints and in your CAB meetings. Can do office or remote, but I have adorable cats that like to join standups if I can WFH. #GetFediHired
I’m looking for my next role.
I come from an 😜 / agile background - focused on fast feedback, small steps, and teams that can actually ship. I’ve worked across fintech, SaaS, cyber security, and early-stage startups, most recently as the first engineering hire helping get a product and cloud-based delivery setup off the ground.
I’m based in Canberra and open to remote roles across Australia.
Appreciate any leads or boosts.

Hey, #Canberra! Wanna borrow my drill press?
I'm serious - I donated mine to Community Toolbox Canberra, and with an annual membership, you can now borrow it or hundreds of other useful things: https://communitytoolboxcbr.myturn.com/library/inventory/show/1313309
I needed to cut an IKEA benchtop in half, so instead of buying a circular saw for the one cut I'd ever need it to make in its life, I instead paid $99 to join (there are cheaper tiers based on ability to pay) and borrowed one and some sawhorses instead.

Why did I have a bench drill press to just give away? Because I bought it for a project to countersink some holes two or three times, and then it sat on a shelf in my garage for a couple of years. It's a very similar story for plenty of the stuff in the Toolbox, whose tagline is "you don't need a drill, you need a hole in the wall". If you're local and have the means, you should support them - one day you might like to countersink a hole or two, too. #Canberra

The Tiring Ride to Rising Tide.
Day 3 - Sassafras to Nowra
'Age has wearied him, and the years condemned.'
Although another cracker of a day for riding, especially as it was mostly downhill, the knees are packing it in so I'll be catching the train from here to Newcastle. Booked in for a sports physio on Thu to do a 'bike fitting' as I am 99% confident the new seat was not installed in *exactly the same place as the previous. Hence .... angry tendons.
Am also confident I can pull volunteer shifts at Rising Tide (from Thu arvo, after the physio) doing 'stuff' ..... while not out paddling a kayak, taunting the constabulary.
Nowra is a lovely, sleepy town. And the campsite is awesome. $25 a night (that's Aussie dollars, not real ones) and full of laid back residents. Shoalhaven Caravan Park.
