@computersandblues Cheogram (and probably Monocles) and Gajim have support for the latest moderation XEPs. Is there a specific moderation feature you are looking for?

@joinjabber @computersandblues

Non-commercial break, enter #CrowdMod: https://salsa.debian.org/debacle/crowdmod

A simple bot, that allows non-admin members to moderate #Jabber MUCs.

@joinjabber honestly I don't even know what moderation features there are. xep-0425 looks like a recent sensible addition, but it's experimental, which I don't know exactly if that's a problem or not, and I'm also not sure I even have a good idea of what the threat model is. is there a good human-readable introduction to the topic? like a guide for mods?

@computersandblues Don't put too much thought into the "experimental" label, this is just a very conservative IETF type naming convention. XEP-0425 is quite widely supported by clients already.

AFAIK there isn't an introduction text, and given the limited number of moderation features it would be probably quite short. However, in general it might be an interesting idea to write a practical guide for good channel moderation. Are you maybe interested in helping out with that?

@computersandblues We have a general FAQ on our website: https://joinjabber.org/docs/faqs/ but so far we don't have best practice recommendations for moderation specifically. But it might be a nice addition to our website if we can find people interested in writing them.
