@robin Somehow I missed this, and I just read the op-ed and team statement, and watched the video of the captain and vice captain responding. Wow. What a shitty op-ed, worthless team response, and fantastic, strong statement from the players.
Just found out the #NWSL has been paying Norm Coleman for legal advice & lobbying so I'm doubtful they'll do the right thing here.
(Many people don't remember Coleman but he voted against same sex marriage, abortion rights, affirmative action, etc - & earned my lasting enmity by accusing the Wellstone sons of "playing politics" because they got emotional at the public memorial held for their father, mother & sister days after their sudden deaths in a plane crash. FUCK that dude.)
