Markdown support sounds good to me, will that also inclide MathJax Support as that allows insertion of Math / science formulae (via LaTeX I think) to produce properly formatted text.

@sintrenton @zleap You can submit these things as enhancement requests: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org – But as we always say, we're a volunteer-driven project with very limited resources. The best way to get new features is to help the community, or fund developers 😊

I understand completely about limited resources! I work with digital accessibility and many organisations creating plug-ins etc for assistive technologies are very much in the same situation.
