Intel aims to extend laptop battery life through 1 Hz displays, variable refresh rate and SmartPower HDR

Intel plans to extend battery life of laptops with three new technologies in collaboration with panel manufacturer BOE. At least two of the planned improvements are already familiar from smartphones, most notably the option of reducing the display refresh rate to 1 Hz.
