When I was a child, my mum bought a big box of hedgehog crisps (potato chips, to Americans). We didn't get much junk food, so I ate them in spite of knowing they were hedgehog flavored 🦔😥 (spoiler: they were actually 'save the hedgehog' pretend-meat flavored).
Again meat-themed: On a visit to the USA, I went to a diner called 'Road-Kill Café'. Again, I thought it rather odd (is it legal to serve road-kill?) but I took it in my stride 🤷♀️
