#MechanicalKeyboard folks - I'd like to emulate this railway signalling control panel, but at say 2/3rd or half normal size, so it won't be almost larger than any layout it might be attached to. Do there exist keyswitches and keycaps in smaller sizes than the standard?

the Train Describer Control Unit that was part of Dundee signalbox from 1985-2021. there are three four-character LED matrix displays labelled Berth, Description, Alarm. then a 10x5 alphanumeric keyboard with the letters in alphabetical order and special keys Interpose, Interrogate, Reset, Cancel

absolutely charmed by this equipment diagram from the manufacturer's manual

engineering drawing titled "Dundee T.D. Cabinet layout" showing two full-height cabinets full of generously-sized computers and electronics, and a half-height cabinet underneath a counter. there is a coffee machine on the counter
