@neil Have you asked if it's available for FreeBSD as a native app?
Basically, I am utterly spoiled by the wealth of amazing Free software people write.
It works for me. Really well.
It doesn't need to work for anyone else. And perhaps some people genuinely need, or simply prefer, "software for lawyers".
Personally, I don't feel the attraction.
@neil From what I've seen some of the most high-control workplaces are vendors of "line of business" software. Nothing warms my heart more than professionals and businesspeople adopting open source technologies.
@neil hey @kroker_legal_berlin you may be interested in following Neil as he is a fellow lawyer using Open Source in his work
@neil
In my years as a system engineer, configuration management engineer, and as an infrastructure engineer. I have used a lot of commercial software and a lot of open source software and I have noticed that I have needed external support far more on commercial software.
Please note that at least three of the companies I have worked for actually paid for support licences for open source software...

Yes, it is great to be able to contribute back.
@neil I love and prefer free software, but wish they'd soften the "doesn't have to work for anyone else" a bit when thinking about accessibility, internationalisation, etc
meanwhile I'm certain my employer offers a legal case management system that's now Turbocharged With AI and has AI features and you can ask the chatbot for insights and to give you a summary, and when you encounter issues you'll have 24/7 access to another chatbot who'll tell you according to the app's documentation no errors are expected to happen so please can you try again
@jackeric Yes, my comment was simply about me not wishing to come across as dictating what others should do, but rather my toot being about what I do.
