@yogthos I think you need to understand Canadian Thanksgiving is *not* US Thanksgiving, but there is some overlap.
We're not celebrating pilgrims at Plymouth or "happy colonialism day!" At least not in 2025.
I understand the mixed feelings, and I respect them and your right to do so. ♥️
However, harvest festivals have been happening for thousands of years in European cultures and countless other cultures, and they will continue to do so.
I suppose it means different things to different people, and that's okay.
I hate that Yule was co-opted by Christians as their holiday - but I'm still going to celebrate my own version of it, despite the baggage.
