complaint: #Avahi #mDNS has a tendency to completely implode and go AWOL for very long periods of time due to certain types of network disruptions, and it's a giant pain in the ass and a huge disincentive to relying on it

I really need to get my next generation network arch figured out, including internal name resolution, but it's a quicksand topic for my brain for some reason
