Why do companies relaunch a classic but make it way bigger?

I've posted about the Mini Cooper before and I think about this way too much.

@matt Not sure about the Mini, but the phone might be targeted at the original buyers who are now older and need bigger, more readable displays.

@matt The Nokia 8210 was truly a marvel of modern industrial design.
I still think there's a healthy market for "tiny" phones that don't suck.

This was one of the first mobile phones I had: the Siemens C25. Maybe the second, actually. I can't remember.

@matt This is my first one. I got it when going to coll... uni, and I'd piss my parents off by leaving it in my truck all day.

Damn, look at this Siemens MC60. I don't remember seeing this phone before today, but it for sure must have been a slither of inspiration for the phone in the TV series Nathan Barley.
