@l_merca I assume this means that the indies didn't take a large advance order and Amazon did and that demand was so strong that the book has sold out and is going back for a second printing. I mean, it would have been nice if the publisher had done a larger print run initially, but "We didn't order enough copies in advance" isn't enshittification, it's just an unfortunate error that I, as an ex-indie bookseller, have sometimes committed myself.
