@fresseng @bonfire @hello @ORCID_Org yes, it's a very specific process, so I'm not sure that anything other that an explicit feedback for each archival would be suitable.
DMing people sounds fine on principle provided the message and consent parsing are explicit.
I guess a poll with a yes/no choice asking each participant if they consent to have their replies permanently archived to a public repository should be good and automatically parse-able, but it could take time and I wonder how you'd handle this "hanging while gathering consent"
Withdrawing would have the effect of publishing a new version on Zenodo, not ideal but probably also how giving consent after publication would have to work anyway...
