Loops urls are apparently not favoured by app developers because they don't look like urls from other software.
That's okay.
It's intentional, we don't include usernames in urls because we plan to support username changes, and our comment permalinks are shorter than a Mastodon actor url, and it's gorgeous.

@dansup these kinds of callout posts are really a bad look Dan. I read the thread you are subposting here. Pachli had made a good point about the pain of adding support for a new URL format. you have valid reasons to change it and there's nothing wrong with you making that call but the way you are handing it could be done with compassion not this gesturing
@dansup thanks for everything you do for the fedi. I remember when you started working on pixelfed, and everything you have done since then has advanced us a lot. ❤️ It's good that name changes will be supported!
