Is it just me, or has #Zoom become buggier and less reliable in the last few months for anyone else?
(Standard Fediverse request: please don't tell me about alternatives to Zoom. I run some. I know what they are. Thank you)

@rwg It's much the same for me, at least for the features I use. Still always have trouble copying a link or text from the chat.
My main problem is due to Ubuntu and X or Wayland or whatever. In KDE bits of old windows show when I share screen, so I have to use GNOME, but I can't configure my headset mic there.
I take it all as a chance to explain to people how much better Linux is.
@wdenton Heh, me, too -- copying links is a nightmare! But lately I've seen links I've copied (after I manage it) just being... wrong. Dead. I had to re-do them.
@rwg they seem to have put an inordinate amount of energy into better noise suppression and various AI “features” which have unfortunately also broken some configurations that worked well for the last five years - that’s been my recent experience
@rwg I don't know if it is zoom or my system, but my camera has stopped working there (I use the in-browser version).
@khleedril for me, it's the link generation. I generate a link, I share it, and then it doesn't work. I have to scramble to generate a new one as people wait.
@rwg It seems to take an unreasonable time to start up recently. Coincidentally the same time it takes their "please use our AI assistant" ad to load.
@rwg Basic functionality seems ok to me.
Its become more trashy of late, shilling its AI companion and some kind of office productivity thing with the actual meeting part a being small hyperlink compared to a bigger "buy our crap" button.
Niche issue: it plays horribly with tiling window managers. Its always creating new windows that hose my layout to tell me something like "sharing now". In linux most other programs manage to avoid these kinds of issues.
