Today, we've adopted our new LGBTIQ+ Equality Strategy for 2026–2030.
The strategy focuses on three key areas:
🌈 Protecting LGBTIQ+ people from violence
🌈 Empowering LGBTIQ+ people to live free from discrimination and have equal rights
🌈 Engaging society as a whole to advance equality together
Because equality and freedom are at the heart of who we are.
As a gay man, if you claim you care about me so much, STOP the #farright!
Crack down on the far right and the US loonies they copy.
AfD, PVV, le RN , MSI and the rest of them!
These are HATERS! These are fascists. If they hate one (transpeople🏳️⚧️ ) they hate ALL of us ( #LGBTQIAplus 
, immigrants, working class, middle class, Jews ✡️ like myself, students, professors, the disabled, progressives & humanitarians who want to STOP murder and #GENOCIDE against #Palestinians 🇵🇸, etc.)
@EUCommission This includes freedom of movement in the EU… After Germany will put HRT under a lot of gatekeeping, we still need HRT from Spain and Portugal. So no more passport controls.

when are you taking action against Hungary?
Thanks for raising this, @tthbaltazar. In July 2022, we referred Hungary to the Court of Justice of the European Union over national rules that discriminate against people based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. The Court’s judgment is still pending at the time of this strategy’s adoption.
@EUCommission @tthbaltazar -…while the Slovak Republic, Czechia, Poland and Italy all seem to be keen to follow Hungary’s lead on this.
Judicial procrastination isn’t just an inconvenience in this regard.
