@StarkRG @afreytes Oof, and I bet those little cupboard dehumidifier thingies probably wouldn't cut it in a tropical climate... (No idea if there are any DIY solutions that are easy or low-cost either.)

It's a difficult one. Again though, I'd be really surprised if nobody in Puerto Rico has at least tried to make 3D printing work, between the shipping issues and that they're pretty versatile in their uses these days. (Especially if you have space for additional working areas - 3D printing pairs well with a lot of other craft and artistic pursuits, as well as with lots of other repair work.)

@dartigen @afreytes It probably wouldn't be too difficult, but it would be something you'd need to pay attention to and have room for. I use a food dehydrator with a layer of desiccant beads and I try to make sure to dry filament before I go to use it. And some types of plastic are worse than others (though all the easy ones do need to be dried at least a little).

Also, you occasionally need to get parts for the printer, so in some ways it's just yet another thing you need parts for.

@StarkRG @afreytes True. I hope there's some cheaper solutions than paying Amazon's mark-ups though.
