Screenshot of a tumblr post by machine-saint I don't get why social media is so hard. all people want is • the polished Ul, video hosting, and large user base of a VC startup • the ideological commitment to openness of a bunch of leftist hackers • moderators that act with clarity and have a well listed set of rules • but that also kick out people that fail the vibe check even if they haven't actually broken any rules • without actually having to pay money for it or look at advertisements seems simple to me???
