Occasionally, I remember the fact that in the 25 years I’ve been doing web dev, I’ve never even gotten so much as a single email from a recruiter, and I honestly don’t know if that’s unusual or not.

@baldur New Zealand data point: I've never had an email from a recruiter, but have had five or six phone calls over the years. Typically they have a startup client who needs someone immediately to instantly resolve massive tech debt caused by poor planning. Not exciting opportunities.
@isaacfreeman Yeah, I'm assuming the recruiter spam experience is a US thing.
