The walls are closing in on Macron with the subtlety of a French farce. The man who promised to be a Napoleon for the 21st century has instead expertly recreated the political chaos of the 1950s, systematically dismantling de Gaulle's strong-presidency model. He’s now a lame duck trapped in a palace, playing a high-stakes game of chicken with a parliament he created, all while Le Pen sharpens her knives.

@yogthos he cornered himself in an impossible scenario.

He would be remembered as the French president either:
- resigned
- helped the far right to power
(on top of doubling the government debts)

What a way to leave his mark in history books.

@gdupont it's all because he couldn't bring himself to let go of power, his pride will be his downfall

@yogthos @gdupont Because he is truely a sociopath. This narcissic and perverse personnality wouldn't allow him to leave the power. Now his strategy is to create a maximum of chaos in France in order to rule with foreign institutions like the IMF. He is making the country unrulable from inside to rule it from outside. I am not sure if the french oligarchs will still follow him in his demencia.
