So, I have enrolled in #pottery classes and I start Monday.

I’m very uncoordinated, my hands shake and I get easily discouraged when I fail at things.

And I’m hoping to work to correct this. I thought the physicality and concreteness of working with clay might help me do that.

Especially because, all my life, imperfect ceramics have always called to something in my soul. I figure if I can learn to appreciate contingency, this might be a good way. I saw this at the exhibit I attended

Japanese pottery - a big bellied pot in speckled clay, with imperfections and a drip green glaze

@Remittancegirl awesome, have fun with it!

I liked pottery because it's easy to reset

Never got good at it, but had fun

@lufthans This is excellent advice. Thank you for it. I will try to keep it in mind as I get into it.
