The rings rise and fold together in a way that feels both inevitable, mechanical and delicate, symbolizing relationships, shared journeys, and the quiet moments where lives intersect.

The small French #pottery works thrived for decades. It remained modest, while competitors expanded and modernised. While this gives the #ruins a quaint charm, it was certainly a major factor in their closure!
Inside, the upper floors have long rows of wooden racks stacked with 100s of moulds. Heavy pieces were moved on wooden carts along a rail system.

This is my very first ceramic creation. Yes, I know it looks like an albino turd with measles and teeth. it’s supposed to be a soy sauce dispenser #Pottery
So, I have enrolled in #pottery classes and I start Monday.
I’m very uncoordinated, my hands shake and I get easily discouraged when I fail at things.
And I’m hoping to work to correct this. I thought the physicality and concreteness of working with clay might help me do that.
Especially because, all my life, imperfect ceramics have always called to something in my soul. I figure if I can learn to appreciate contingency, this might be a good way. I saw this at the exhibit I attended
