I presume Copilot engagement is a key metric for some senior people, because Satya has ‘bet the company’ on bullshit generators.
If you put buttons everywhere, people will click on them by mistake periodically. This increases your engagement numbers.
No one cares that this is pissing off users because there is an entrenched culture of lying to management in Microsoft, so only the positive bits get reported up the chain.
