I haven't checked all of them but [lemmy.world](http://lemmy.world) is not a Mastodon instance. It is an activity pub service and can be followed from mastodon but it might be best to split it out into a "other fediverse services" list to make it clear to people looking for an instance that it will not be the same experience as a Mastodon instance.

@span aral I suspect nobody would be interested in our small instance but we’re very much friendly to human beings that want to be treated as human beings.

Ditto the LGBTQIA+ community, and any other minority group that deserves to be free.

@span aral the idea is interesting, but I wonder how many people could be verified without running into scaling issues. Maybe better to have a per-user path in the verification link?
