#TIL that #LibreOffice has a command line tool to convert files from, say, .docx format to .pdf format. HUGE time saver when a client sends a bunch of .docx files and says they're sending pdfs!

libreoffice --headless --convert-to pdf *.docx

@alisynthesis ... Or you could use pandoc. (Which is a little bit smaller.)

@span cstross @span alisynthesis I feel like using pandoc to convert to PDF is often the wrong move as it isn't as faithful to the source? I always saw it using built in latex templates or whatever that's called. Comes out really pretty but didn't look like the WYSIWYG input files? Although that might be me misremembering my experiences converting from other formats or even plain text. Pandoc is a fantastic tool but is very very powerful and almost too much for most people.
