I completely accept that all these statements are true and that aid was necessary for liberation.
But I don't think that makes Russia a "good guy." I think Russia invests in conflict for their own reasons.
And Africans were the ones invested in using the assistance for something beneficial.
At one point, Russia was in control of the USSR. And Russia in particular has a very long recent history of inciting conflict.
Ukraine was part of the USSR too, right? Russia seems to be the one not honoring agreements and inciting fights for their own reasons.
I feel like everyone was trying to establish their own cultural identity after the USSR disbanded, and Russia just wants to stay in charge.
I don't think you want to have the discussion. You keep focusing on being dismissive of the information I don't know in depth.
I don't know the history. I know the current events. And the behavior patterns we see now keep repeating.
So yes, I expect they've been repeating for a damn long time. That's how behavior patterns work.
The fact that you hold strong opinions on subjects you're not interested in spending the time to understand means there's little point trying to have a discussion with you.
