It is *beyond absurd* that the worthy but essentially tepid social-democratic measures the Mamdani campaign is calling for are here described as “Red Plenty.” If this is the quality of analysis America’s political class relies upon, it’s little wonder the country is having so much trouble recognizing the condition it’s in.

Man, the shitty AI illustrations on that Niskanen Center piece just really do say everything about it you need to know. I’m not holding my breath, but it sure would be nice if people came to recognize the shoddiness of effort bound up in that move as the signature of a parallel shoddiness of thought.
You wouldn’t think it was something people would need to be reminded of, maybe, but in discussions of so-called #abundance I’m finding the handy mnemonic MORE helpful: MORE is always Maintained On Resource Extraction.
