Clear.Dental

Just in case there is somebody who is using Clear.Dental in production, I want to let everyone know I am making a number of major changes in the next few months (see attached image)

These will be major changes that will help bring Clear.Dental to the mass market. Now that Clear.Dental is the only Open Source EHR/PMS, getting people to switch has never been more important.

#qt #qmake #qml#X11 #KDE#wayland#linux #sshfs #OpenSource

Current Clear.Dental (1.X):
    • Uses Qt 5.15
    • Uses QMake for building
    • Uses QML Material UX
    • Relies on X11 hacks to get touchscreen working
    • Data is stored in /home/$USER/clearDentalData (each user needs a clone of the data)
    • Supports resistive touch screens (which self identify as a mouse) for things like scrolling
    • Requires a 1920x1080 (or higher) resolution screen
    • Main target is Linux Desktops

@ClearDental any thought about getting listed by @dpgalliance? Dentistry in the global south isn't nearly as widespread as it should be, but seems like a good opportunity to help support and strengthen those who would try...

Yeah, it would be great to be listed there. I just did an eligibility check on their website and it should qualify. Am I allowed to nominate myself?

This is wonderful! Yes, organisations and developers are very welcome to nominate themselves to be featured in the #DPGRegistry. You can review the submission guide and apply here: https://www.digitalpublicgoods.net/digital-public-goods/submission-guide
