Can we notice that — there is a conversation happening across the Fediverse, ATmosphere, Mastodon, and Bluesky.
And, consider that some level of success for the broader Social Web 🙂

how is this the web?
if it were, we would all be linking to each other in text using hyperlinks.
posts could have titles.
you could edit a post.
no character limits.
i can set up a server in minutes.
no one can decide what features i put on it.
i can move to a different server by changing a DNS entry.
etc etc.
bluesky is promising someday maybe it'll be all those things. nice, but in the meantime its centralization is going to be a nice toy for a billionaire to buy.
people make the mistake of thinking that because you read something in Chrome or Safari you are "on the web" -- the web is a lot more than that.
i want the web of social to be web first.
the web set us free. these silos have too many ridiculous limits, missing the features that made the web such a huge liberation.
