Could there be like a torrent-like way of downloading system updates and app updates where you download the updates from other people close to you, who has already downloaded them before? Has anyone tried that?

@forteller I guess you can use actual torrents for that, but not sure if there's that much of a benefit. Most distros allow you to choose a regional server to download from. Some distros were previously available as official torrents, but I don't think it is common anymore.
