Ages ago, I Kickstarted the deluxe edition of this game for my partner, and it finally arrived yesterday! I had the chance to play it with her and her husband tonight. It was a VERY close game, as you can see on the final score sheet. :)

The game was very cute, and I can imagine people from Mastodon relating to it. The basic cycle is puttering around your house littering your apartment with stacks of books and recharging your social battery until you have the spoons to leave the house, at which time you go into town and visit the used book store, the library, the book exchange, and the shops to pick up more books and neat things. When your social battery is depleted, you head home, unload your backpack, and putter around again.

You win by arranging your book stacks to complete certain goals, collecting lots of books, and collecting neat trinkets and stuff at the shops.

It's got a very cozy vibe, and the production value is quite high. Although we had the deluxe edition, I get the feeling that the same will be true for the retail edition as well. It moves pretty fast, but optimizing things takes a fair bit of planning and thought. Overall, I quite liked it and am looking forward to trying it again sometime.

The game laid out on the table, with each player having a player mat with their stacks of books, their collected Neat Stuff, and so on, as well as the central Town board showing the shared area.
