(Boosts welcome / appreciated!)

Do any #uk #phd grads who were on student #visas know when their degree is "complete" such that they can apply for a 3 year graduate visa? I am finding it hard to find companies that want to hire me given the restriction of only being able to work 20 hours a week but the requirement (per https://www.gov.uk/graduate-visa) that "your education provider (such as your university or college) has told the Home Office you’ve successfully completed your course" is vague.

GOV.UK

Graduate visa

Apply for a Graduate route visa if you’ve been on a student visa and want to stay in the UK to work - eligibility, fees, documents, extend, bring your partner and children.

Does this mean:
* after thesis submission?
* after passing a viva (pass, any kind of corrections?)
* after the final corrections are submitted?

Given that my viva might be 2 months away and I could get major corrections, the idea of not being able to work full time for 8 months is pretty annoying...

Or maybe -- my visa limits me to 20 hours of work per week of "term time" -- having submitted am I beyond that?

I ask here because the international students team at my uni can't promise they'll get back to me for 2 weeks which is bonkers! I am convinced that team has been downsized to like 1 terrified but helpful gerbil frantically running around an office made for 20 humans.
