This kind of exchange could easily be avoided IMO, just by simply stating that the OSA needs "wholesale revision" or even, "reform", rather than "scrapping" it.

@jim Fararge is not alas that dumb. He didn't walk into a trap. He goaded his opponent into making slurs that will make epic PR and can with the right timing of lawyers will run on and on.
Likewise I don't think Farage's "and apologize" was anything but calculated. It's the first step towards lining up litigation and not only did Kyle walk straight into it, he did it outside the walls of the house.

@jim If a building is constructed on defectively designed foundations you can’t fix that with a snagging list, however lengthy. Sure there are bits of the Act that you wouldn’t repeal (eg the offences) but fundamentally it is fit only for demolition and rebuilding.
It is uncomfortable when mainstream politicians are defending something as stupid as the #onlinesafetyact and failing to make the slightest concession that their approach may be wrong.
