@tchambers hmm…I wouldn’t know what to look for in the code to make me feel safe about this.
Essentially, they’re saying I can use my Signal account to talk with someone on WhatsApp or Twitter? I feel uneasy about those two services (and others on the list) having a pipeline to Signal or Matrix.
I’m not criticizing you, Tim. I’m just thinking out loud about this.
@markwyner So far, not convinced to use yet either - as not yet convinced it would gracefully help in both use cases I need.
@tchambers so you would want Slack together with other messaging apps? For me, it’s a use case and universe all to its own.
@tchambers it's currently also the only way that I know of to have a second phone number with Signal on iOS.
But limited: chat only, no calls. Stickers can only be received, not sent.
@tchambers where's apple's iMessage on that list? Pretty much the only one I use but would love to connect to others.
