I’d love to see him do something that incorporates his love of Lord of the Rings. Not focused on LotR, but just bring in more references. He’s so knowledgeable and the literature is so rich, I bet he could draw many more parallels with current events, and folks would be really into it. #LotR#Colbert

@jeffjarvis I was just getting into the groove this year of watching the re-play of his opening monologues on YouTube with my wife. It was a sort of an end-of-the-day laugh we needed to clear our minds.
Hearing the news of his impending cancellation next year hit us hard. I'm betting he will come out shooting and end his run with a bang. He's got some time left and a LOT of material yet to (un)cover. Here's hoping, like the mythical Phoenix, he will rise from the ashes (in time for the next election).
