That last was defunded by InternetNZ, but I suspect this was a result of them losing public funding and having to reduce their outgoings. Anyone know?
Here's another community organisation that's lost funding under this regime, this one a youth-focused support service. Supporting STEM education even!

I recognise the name from when I was hanging out with Loomio/ Enspiral folks. Is there a good writeup that covers both sides fairly? All I could find with a web search was behind Grampy Herald's paywall.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't. Tech politics has been a broad church for a long time, including a lot of sheltered, right-leaning men. I remember David Farrar (Mr KiwiBlog) on a panel at the only NetHui I've been to.
But in recent years a lot of pressure has built up on the fault lines between the factions. Responses to this govt can't really be neutral, so it's reaching breaking point in a lot of organisation.

Hopefully the moves to recognise kaupapa Māori in InternetNZ stick. I'll certainly be sticking my oar in to support that, at every opportunity.
