A new Instagram-like app, UpScrolled, seems like the wrong direction:
❌ not Free Software
❌ app-only, no web interface
❌ no self-hosting
❌ not federated
❌ seeking advertisers
Meanwhile we already have Pixelfed:
✅ Free Software license: AGPL3+
✅ web interface and a mobile app
✅ self-hosting or find an existing server
✅ part of the fediverse
We don't need a new proprietary walled garden! Grow the fediverse!

Does UpScrolled have a web or desktop version?
Currently, UpScrolled is available exclusively as a mobile app -- downloadable on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The app is fully supported on smartphones and tablets, giving you a seamless experience across mobile devices
A web version may com in the future, but for now, UpScrolled is built for mobile-first expression, connection, and creativity.
