Three years ago my neighbor-dads and I did a midsummer ski trip to Slettinden, a mountain we looked at every day from our rekkehus in Tromsø.

After a lot of hiking and navigating some complex steep terrain we felt we had done enough with just 100m to the top. And it was midnight, and we all had families to wake up to in just a few hours...

We did have a huge amount of fun and some wild skiing, picking tiny lines way further down than we thought we would get..🏔️❄️♥️

Heading home, a beautiful sunny very early (1 or 2am, not sure) morning walk.

Slettinden! A snow covered peak. We climbed the ridge to the left to a cliff band just out of frame that we could not downclimb with packs and skis on, so we had to retreat, doenclimb off the ridge out of frame and ski up the snow just below the rocks in a rising traverse.
