As I don't think that I'll have time to make a video this week, here are some screenshots of the implementation. This is test, the fields and algorithm to calculate the score will improve with time and feedback.

I wanted to do that for years, and it's now done and specified thanks to @nlnet and @NGIZero .

Specification (to be improved with time) is at https://xmpp.org/extensions/inbox/data_policy.html .

This is very important informations that can now be checked at a glance.

The mouse pointer is above the badge of the previous screenshot, it show a "Data Policy Report" panel. Here is the content of the panel:
```
Score: 3.75/10
Details:
-20 Your login data are transmitted to this service.
-5 Terms of Service are not linked.
10 The service does not store data.
```

The first two scores, with negative values, are show in red, the last one, with positive value, is shown in green.

A small screenshot of the header of the chat panel of Libervia Web frontend. There is a new badge (for data policy), surrounded on the screenshot to highlight it. The badge shows a file with shield icon, and a score of 3.75.

@Goffi

It'd be pretty neat if it could tell you what the defaults and your current settings are. I remember reading that clients could adjust some of the retention time periods.

But I'm not sure where to check that.

@nlnet @NGIZero I hope to see widespread adoption among XMPP services, and notably with gateways (wink wink Slidge and Biboumi) and XMPP servers.

#XMPP #gateway#Slidge#Biboumi.
