A couple stand-out examples of #3D#GSplats in use—

* Architecture - https://adnfamily.com/studio/mj/the_season/immersive/index.html

Once you build this highly complex model in #Blender, it's a ton of work to created an optimized 3D model for the web. Foliage at this scale will never both look good and be performant.

By taking hundreds of virtual photos of your Blender model, Gaussian Splatting allows this 3D model to actually be viewed in the web with minimal remodeling.

A cut out of a new building is shown. This is an optimized 3D model being shown inside a website. It's highly detailed with people, cars, bushes, trees, and of course the many walls, rooms, and hallways of this building.

  • 3D Video - https://www.4dv.ai/viewer/salmon_10s?showdemo=4dv

    Less practical, but still an interesting tech demonstration. A lot like the 3D YouTube videos, you can do the same with #GSplats. I should warn that this requires a good computer to run.

A screenshot of a website video player. It has a list of videos at the bottom. Taking up 90% of the screen is a video of some kind of martial arts demonstration. What is notable is that you can drag the mouse to watch this video at different angles in the world that video is shot in.
