New headphones, meet screwdriver. A standard Phillips will do!

We cracked open Sony's WH-1000XM6 headphones to see how repairable they really are.

Teardown of the Sony WH-1000XM6. The person starts by discussing how popular these new headphones are, then removes the earcups, which are very easy to replace. They move on to opening the right ear cup where the battery is. The battery is now encased in plastic and secured with screws, compared to the XM5 which was a soft-shell battery secured with adhesive. The USB-C port is on its own board, which is easily replaced separately from the logic board. Opening up the left earcup reveals the primary logic board. They close the video by showing Sony's new QN3 chip on that logic board, and then telling the viewer to go view the whole teardown on their channel.
