@strypey Yep. Too bad we don't have a government interested in actually fixing the problem by incentivising the installation of panels on every roof and car park along with the batteries and other grid management equipment needed to control it all.

We could have nice things if we weren't determined to drill for the 19th century's technology instead.

I feel ya. But decades of cage-rattling have taught me that if we really want to have influence at institutional scales, advising the next government is more important than hating on the current one. This is one reason I keep posting stuff with the #PolicyNZ tag.

Of course defensive plays on current events are important too. But it's limiting and dispiriting to be always playing defence.

@strypey One thing I like about the Green Party: as an ordinary member you can (and I am) be on policy subcommittees generating all this detailed stuff. It doesn't come down as received wisdom from above.
