Anthony Albanese waxes lyrical about the imminent prohibition on young Australians using social media;

... without giving a shred of detail about how it's supposed to work. Let alone addressing any of the criticisms of the age verification approach, even those made by anti-corporate, pro-regulation tech activists.

Albanese is profoundly naive about how badly mistargeted tech regulation can go wrong. Despite the results of the link tax policy, which you'd hope would have given Ozzie policy makers an education in how global tech monopolies work.

Some might suspect he knows full well, but knows also that there's still political capital to be extracted from the techlash. But given the rest of the interview, he does seem to genuinely care about the outcome.
