I don't often strongly disagree with Lever journalists, but I have to take issue with presenting Occupy Wall St as a counterpart of the Tea Party;

OWS was the US arm of a global revolt. A convergence of multiple activist networks (including AdBusters, Anonymous. See David Graeber's The Democracy Project;

The Tea Party was a series of stunts coordinated by reputation launderers in GoP-aligned consultancies, and blown up by partisan media (notably Fox TV and neoconservative talk radio);
