Or #Valencia. The storm which tore through Valencia this week, leaving at least 158 dead and thousands of homes utterly trashed. Those floods were brought to you (at least partly) by #Vox, a far right party which opposes action on the #ClimateEmergency, and has two of its thirty-three deputies elected from Valencia.

How would they feel if we thanked them for their efforts?

Would it shame them?

Would it hurt their vote?

To prepare for this sort of action, research how your local representative has spoken and voted on issues related to climate change. Then, if their record is not good, next time a major storm causes serious devastation in your area, create and post a meme to thank them for their efforts.

Politely.

Because it's always good to show a little gratitude.
