As part of inducting new employees to our organization I have a short session with them (think project managers, sales etc) on how to approach #NDA or #confidentiality requests* from customers / partners.

Attached the supporting slides. I'm sharing them as multiple people here have asked to see them. If they're useful feel free to copy the content :-)

*The concept is to transform a bullish "sign NDA or we can't continue!" demand into a useful dialogue with an outcome that works for all.

Oh. Small addition not on the slides:

Any time the discussion ends up in talks about that something might be illegal, unethical or arseholy it's best practice to innocently ask to have that clarified by email.

There's two options: they realize it wont fly and move on, never mentioning it again and not pushing you into participating in shit. The other is they double down and explain why they can't email. In that option you nicely learned these are people you don't want to work with #win :-)
