What looks like part of a wall of carefully shaped and fitted stones at Duncarnock Fort on the southern edge of Glasgow (with a spaniel added to the lower photograph for scale). Built on the remains of an extinct volcano, this late bronze age/iron age hillfort is thought to have been occupied between 1200 BC and AD 400 (and possibly as late as AD 700).

A pile of stones on the top of a low hill near Glasgow which look as it they have been carved and fitted together. There is a spaniel in the lower photograph to show how large they are.
