One tiny silver lining, my representative, Shinya Ogawa has narrowly beaten (by 1000 votes!) his Jiminto opponent. Of course, they'll both be elected as the loser always gets in thanks to the proportional thing

LDP: "consider a two-year suspension of the 8 percent consumption tax on food products."

Keyword "consider." And only two years, you wouldn't want poor people to be able to eat too much...
Also, this nonsense of raising the consumption tax was Saint Shinzo Abe's idea, and it's taboo to say he did bad things.
